You know your child best. We are here to help.
Maybe they have become anxious or withdrawn. Maybe school has become a battle, sleep is broken, or their confidence has quietly slipped away. Whatever it is, you do not have to work it out alone.
At OLIP Therapy we give children and teenagers a calm, supportive place to make sense of their feelings, build coping skills, and rediscover their confidence, often with real change in just a few short weeks. And we keep you involved every step of the way.
We work with children and young people from age 7 upwards, and with their parents alongside them.

Questions parents often ask
What ages do you work with?
We work with children and young people from age 7 upwards, including teenagers. For younger children, we would usually work with you as parents on how to support them, and we will be honest at the consultation if we are not the right fit.
How do I know if my child needs therapy?
Trust your instincts. If your child seems persistently anxious, withdrawn, tearful, angry or unlike themselves, or if something specific has happened, it is worth talking to someone. A free consultation is a gentle way to explore whether we can help, with no obligation.
Will I be involved?
Yes. We see parents and carers as part of your child's support. We will keep you appropriately informed and work alongside you, while still giving your child the private space they need to open up.
What does therapy actually look like for a child?
It rarely looks like an adult sitting and talking for an hour. Depending on age, sessions may involve drawing, games, stories or simple relaxation exercises alongside conversation. The aim is for your child to feel comfortable first, because nothing useful happens until they do.
Are your therapists DBS checked?
Yes. Every therapist working with children and young people at OLIP Therapy is DBS checked, appropriately qualified, fully insured and working under regular clinical supervision.
Is it confidential and safe?
Your child's safety comes first, always. We work within professional and safeguarding standards designed to protect young people, and we will always be open with you about how confidentiality works for your child's age and situation.
Will my child have to talk about everything straight away?
Never. We move at your child's pace and build trust first. Many young people find it far easier to open up than they expected, precisely because there is no pressure to.
How much do sessions cost?
Your initial consultation is free, with no obligation to book anything afterwards. Current session fees are listed openly on our fees page, and we will always be clear about costs before you commit.
Can sessions happen online?
Yes. We offer secure online sessions as well as in-person support at our Fareham practice, which can be a great fit for busy families or young people who feel more comfortable at home.
Every child deserves to feel happy and supported
Reaching out is one of the most loving things you can do for your child. When you are ready, we are here, with a free, no-pressure consultation whenever suits you.
