OLIP Therapy

Accessibility StatementFareham, Hampshire & online

Help should be easy to reach, whatever your needs.

We want everyone to be able to find out about therapy and book help with us, whatever their needs. This statement explains what we've done to make our website and practice easier to use, where we know there's still work to do, and how to get help if something doesn't work for you.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These are the internationally recognised standards for making websites usable by people with a wide range of needs.

That includes people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification, and people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive or learning differences.

What we've done

Clear colours and contrast. Text and buttons are designed to be easy to read against their backgrounds.
Keyboard friendly. You can move through the site using a keyboard, and you'll see a clear outline showing where you are.
Screen reader support. Menus, buttons and links are labelled so screen readers can describe them clearly.
Plain English. We write in everyday language and try to avoid jargon.
Works on any device. The site adjusts to fit phones, tablets and computers, and you can zoom in up to 200% without losing content.
Reduced movement. If you've asked your device to reduce motion, our animations switch off.
Image descriptions. We're adding text descriptions to our images so their meaning isn't lost if you can't see them.

Where we know there's more to do

We're honest about what isn't perfect yet, and we're working on it:

Some older blog posts and images don't yet have text descriptions.
Some of our audio and video content doesn't yet have captions or transcripts.
Some PDF downloads may not work fully with screen readers.
Our online booking calendar and client portal are provided by other companies, so we can't fully control how accessible they are. If you have any difficulty with them, you can always book by phone or email instead.

Other ways to contact us or book

You never have to use the website to get help. If anything is difficult, contact us in whichever way suits you.

We can also book your free consultation for you over the phone, or send you information in another format, such as large print or plain text.
