Your free consultation

Your first step is a free, confidential 15 minute call with an experienced therapist. There's no charge and no obligation to book anything afterwards. We don't take payment details for this call.

Booking sessions

When you book a session, you're agreeing to these terms. Before your first session, we may ask you to complete a short assessment form so your therapist can understand what you'd like help with.

Fees and payment

Our current fees are shown on our Fees page. All prices include VAT.
Fees are the same for online and in-person sessions.
When to pay: at the time of booking.
How to pay: by card or bank transfer.

Courses of sessions

Some therapies can be booked as a course at a reduced price.

Course sessions are for the person they were booked for and can't be transferred to someone else.

Cancelling or rearranging a session

We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or move a session, please let us know as early as you can.

48 hours notice or more: no charge, and we'll rearrange at a time that suits you.
Less than 48 hours notice, or not attending: the full session fee is charged. If the session is part of a course, it counts as used.
To cancel, call 0800 970 4776 or email hello@oliptherapy.co.uk.

If your therapist needs to cancel, we'll give you as much notice as possible and offer you another time or a full refund for that session.

Arriving late

If you arrive late, your session will still finish at the planned time so the next client isn't kept waiting. The full fee applies.

Online sessions

Please join from a private, quiet space where you won't be interrupted or overheard.
You're responsible for having a reliable internet connection and a working camera and microphone.
If the connection fails on our side, we'll make up the lost time.
Sessions must not be recorded by either party without written agreement.

Children and young people

We see children from age 7 with some of our therapists.
A parent or legal guardian must give consent and make the booking for anyone under 16.
For children under 16, a parent or guardian must stay on the premises during in-person sessions.
Your child's therapist will explain how confidentiality works for young people, including when information may be shared with a parent or guardian to keep them safe.

Confidentiality

What you share in sessions is kept confidential. There are a small number of exceptions, such as where there's a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, or where the law requires it. Your therapist will explain these at the start. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

We're not an emergency service

We can't offer crisis support between sessions. If you're in crisis or worried about your immediate safety:

Call 999 or go to your nearest A&E
Call NHS 111 for urgent help
Call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time, day or night

What therapy can and can't promise

Our therapists are qualified, experienced and committed to helping you. Everyone is different, though, and no therapist can guarantee a particular result. We'll always be open with you about how things are going.

Your therapist's professional standards

Our therapists are qualified, insured and registered with their own professional bodies, and work under regular clinical supervision. If you'd like to see your therapist's qualifications, just ask.

If you're unhappy

If something isn't right, please tell us. You can raise it with your therapist, or contact us directly on 0800 970 4776 or hello@oliptherapy.co.uk. We'll listen, look into it, and aim to respond within 10 working days.

If you're still unhappy, you can contact your therapist's professional body, and we'll tell you which one that is.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
